Privacy policy

What we collect
When you send the quote form, we receive what you type in it: your name, phone number, company and email address if you give them, whether you are a contractor, property manager or homeowner if you say, the job town or ZIP, the pick date, the job type, the weight and distance if you add them, and any other details you type. We also record which page the form was sent from.
When you sign up for The Pick Sheet (our crane job prep kit), we receive your email address, the job type, the job town or ZIP, the lift date window if you pick one, and whether you ticked "Also help me find a local crane provider for this job." If you use an interactive tool on a guide, its answers are sent with that signup.
This site uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to count visits and form submissions. They set cookies and collect things like the pages viewed, the device and browser, and the general location. We use those counts to see which pages help people and do not use them for advertising. How we use it
We keep every request we receive and use it to pass your job to an independent local crane operator so they can follow up about a quote. A Pick Sheet signup is used to show you the kit. If you ticked the provider box, we treat it like a quote request for that job and may pass it to one local crane operator. If you left it unticked, we do not pass it to anyone. We also use the copy we keep to count requests and to follow up if a request was not answered.
Who we share it with
- One crane operator who serves your area, once we pass your request on, so they can follow up about it.
- Web3Forms, the service that delivers form submissions by email. Their privacy policy is at https://web3forms.com/privacy.
- Vercel, which hosts this website and processes basic server logs.
- Google, through the analytics tools described above.
We pass your request to one crane operator and nobody else for this purpose. An operator may pay the site owner for referrals, as the about page explains. We do not send your request to lists of companies, and we do not share it with anyone for their marketing.
Calls and texts
The operator may call, text or email you about the request you sent. This site does not send marketing texts.
Keeping and deleting your information
Requests are kept for up to 24 months and then deleted. To ask what we have about you or to have it deleted, send a request through the form with the word "privacy" in the job details, and we will reply using the contact details you give.
